چکیده

We studied the impact of a low induction magnetic field on alpha, beta, theta, SMR and delta brain wave rhythms, registered in RT mode by means of an expert system ProComp+/ BioGraph V2.1 from the F-C and F-C leads. The research involved 70 women and 70 men aged 19-23 with and without manifest difficulties in solving logical-mathematical problems, divided into four groups of 35. The examinations were performed at the Psychophysiology Laboratory in War saw. Statistical analysis shows that, regardless of cerebral hemisphere, IQ and sex, low induction magnetic fields can be used to modify the amplitude values of particular brain wave rhythms in chosen directions, which means they can be used to in crease the capacity of one or both cerebral hemispheres. These effects were not obtained with a placebo, which excludes a psychological factor being responsible for increasing the ability to make analytic-synthetic distinctions. More specific interpretation of the results presented here re quires longitudinal observation.

Scrutiny of brain signals variations in regions Cz, C3 and C4 under Local Exposure of Extremely Low Frequency and Weak pulsed Magnetic Field to promote Neurofeedback systems

Introduction: Researchers have long been interested in the effects of low intensity (less than 500 microtesla) and Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Fields (ELF-MF, less than 300 Hz) on human’s brain activity. In this study, our purpose was to analyze the effect of local magnetic field pulses around brain regions Cz, C3, C4 on human electroencephalogram (EEG) and induction of resonance effect...

The Measurement of Low Frequency Magnetic Field of Two Kinds of GSM900 Mobile Phone

Introduction:  The  use  of  mobile  communication  systems  has  dramatically  increased  over  the  past  decade. Although many studies have been performed to determine the effect of radio frequency (RF) but  less attention has been paid to the possible biological impact of exposure to extremely low frequency  (ELF) components.   The objective of this study is two folds. One is to design the ...

The Neuroprotective Effects of Long-Term Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on the Cortical Spreading Depression-induced Damages in Rat’s Brain

Introduction: Cortical Spreading Depression (CSD) is a propagating wave of neural and glial cell depolarization with important role in several clinical disorders. Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a potential tool with preventive treatment effects in psychiatric and neuronal disorders. In this paper, we study the effects of rTMS on CSD by using behavioral and histological a...

Evaluation of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) Electromagnetic Fields and Their Probable Relationship with Hematological Changes among Operators in Heavy Metal Industry

Introduction: It is important that biological and health effects from the induction of currents and fields in the body by extremely low frequency (ELF) fields are fully explored to determine the effects produced at the molecular, cellular and organ levels. The objective of this study was to evaluate the intensity of ELF electromagnetic fields and its probable relationship with hematological cha...
